Today, March 21 2011, a day that shall live in infamy, Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, assured himself of a place in the history books.

A Committee of the Canadian Parliament placed before our Parliament a 12-page report that stated that Stephen Harper's Conservative Party minority government is in contempt of Parliament over its refusal to fully disclose the cost of its crime agenda, corporate tax cuts and plans to purchase fighter jets. The Committee's report is to be debated by the House later this week, and – if such meeting is indeed held (and Harper does not dissolve Parliament before that in order to prevent the discussion and vote) – the probabilities are that the House will accept the Committee's finding and find the Canadian minority government guilty of the crime of contempt of Parliament.
