Don Geddes of Macleans
Hat tip to John Geddes in todays Macleans for a very interesting article on the explanation Harper has given for why he wrote the letter to the Governor General in 2004, and arranged for Duceppe and Layton to meet him at the Delta Hotel.

Harper says he was NOT plotting to replace the Martin minority government in 2004, which had won MORE votes than any of the other parties (38% more seats than Harper won).

Duceppe and Layton say Harper is not being truthful with Canadians: that Harpe was plotting to win power without first winning most seats in the Parliament.
