Having missed a chance to be the prime minister and table a budget which addresses the real concerns of Canadians, Ignatieff will shortly be faced with having to decide whether to get off his hands and actually table some positive steps for the government to take.
Why? Because the flawed Harper budget which Ignatieff supported did very little for jobless Canadians, whose numbers will soon increase to a level the Harperites have not anticipated. The pressure on the three opposition parties to do something will mount, and the Liberals will be badly hurt if they once again adopt a do-nothing posture in parliament.
