If you want a quick summary of the daily (sometimes hourly) developments in the cascade of US diplomatic cables released into the public space by Wikileaks, then dip frequently into the UK's guardian site.
And it you wonder what is really happening with the Wikileaks deluge, then pay no attention to the meme now circulating that "we knew this stuff already" and "there is nothing new here".
These claims are nonsensical.

Part of the attraction to hundreds of millions of readers throughout the world is the revelation of information we seldom get a chance to see.
Wikileaks is proof positive that modern journalism in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany (to select just the biggest culprits) has signally failed the citizens of those countries.
If journalists for the print and electronic media were doing a proper job, we – the ordinary citizens of the world – would have been advised over the past few years of the type of revelations that are now spouting out of the dark corners they are hidden in.
We would have read or heard in great and impressive detail about the double standard towards Iran's nuclear weapons program adopted by the leaders of many Middle Eastern states.
