Based on one poll by Angus Reid, this is possible, as threehundredeight writes:
"This poll would result in the following seat totals:
Conservatives - 113
Liberals - 104
Bloc Quebecois - 47
New Democrats - 44
This is a terrific poll for the NDP, and puts them at their highest seat total in history, almost enough to surpass the Bloc Quebecois for third. With 148 seats between them, Ignatieff and Layton could easily work out a governing arrangement."
Not what most would have expected, eh?
But this could be the beginning of what I expect to be a trend: the steady erosion of support away from the Tories towards the other parties, with the Greens also losing support the closer we get to an election.
