Dutch model Maud Welzen made her debut last September at the Spring/Summer 2011 collections and her poise and experience are now paying dividends at the Fall/Winter 2011 shows. Represented by DNA Models in New York, Welzen tread the runways for Calvin Klein, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, BCBG Max Azria, Preen, Herve Leger, Vera Wang, Halston, Prada, Gucci, Max Mara, Anteprima and Gian Franco Ferre. Standing at 177cm in height, Welzen's honey golden tresses and angelic, cherub like features have drawn comparisons to former top model Kirsty Hume.

Joan Smalls has proven that she is here to stay with an impressive 39 show bookings during the SS11 show season. The Puerto Rican born native tread the catwalks for Alexander Wang, Gucci, Hakaan, Emilio Pucci, Versace and Lanvin, and held opening slots for Yves Saint Laurent whilst closing for Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaulthier. Smalls began modelling in 2007 and was primarily known as a catalogue model before coming to the attention of Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, who signed Smalls as an exclusive for his Spring 2010 couture showing. What followed was a stellar FW10 season culminating in Smalls’ appearance in the Prada show. Andre Leon Talley proclaimed Smalls in the June 2010 edition of US Vogue as “this generation’s China Machado, whose looks, in the high fashion sixties, were considered more than cutting edge, almost taboo.” Back to back American Vogue bookings and editorial appearances in Italia, Deutsch and Paris Vogue as well as campaigns for Givenchy and Gucci are only an indication of what is in store for Ms Smalls.
