on friday i was lucky enough to be invited to the "be parisian for a day" event hosted by marie-laure fournier of fournier pr + consulting. the event took place in one of the villas at the sunset marquis in west hollywood. marie-laure represents some of the best beauty products out there. i've worked with her for years and she has introduced me to some of my favorite hair & beauty lines.
i'm madly in love with leonor greyl products for the hair whose natural products are free from silicone, SLS, parabens, coal tar & are not tested on animals. she sent me some of their products years ago and i've been addicted ever since.
one of her clients, immunocologie, was a hit with our group. immunocologie is linked with the work of hungarian biochemist albert szent-györki, the nobel prize winner who discovered vitaman c. his work inspired immunocologie formulator manzoor jaffery who was the first to dicover the anti-aging properties of alpha hydroxy acids. the lovely lady who showed us the line was hilarious and knowledgable and by the time we walked away we had given her our information with the promise of more samples. we did recieve their new treatment creme venoMAX which i've been using for the past few days - AMAZING. it really is like "botox in a bottle".
one other line, patyka, was also quite impressive. the cult classic in france recently relaunched with some of the most luxurious products out there. patyka uses natural & organic ingredients and are certified organic by ECOCERT, an independent board accredited by the european union & the US ministry of agriculture. patyka strives to incorporate the finest organic ingredients, while paying attention to fair trade practices. the result is an organice line of truly innovative & luxurious products, that are not just eco-friendly but also socially responsible. the packaging is gorgeous - they use soy inks and the box is based on origami. the scents of the body oils and bath wash were intoxicating.
some of the other products featured at the event were orlane, talika, votre vu, payot, & model co.
i had a wonderful time learning about all the new products available from these lines and finally got to meet marie-laure after so many years of working together via email. i did, indeed, feel parisian for the day and am now fairly obsessed with all my new french products. oh la la!
