Bold stripes are in for spring. The creations of Prada, Jil Sander, Stella McCartney, Celine, Marc Jacobs and others brings some graphic appeal to the warmer season. Broad or slim, vertical or horizontal, très français or nautical style this season is an highlighting of stripes. There is absolutely no excuse to be looking drab and plain this season, when all of our favorite designers have given us the green light to go. Be bold in the most graphic pattern of the season wearing it head-to-toe.

It’s Friday, and we’re in love. Yes, we do happen to be listening to the Cure, but Robert Smith is not the only romantic round here, where next winter's concerned, romance is rife. Next Fall Winter 2011/2012 season one of trends are billowing long floaty skirts to match with sweaters and belts. Better if ballerina-inspired plisse skirts down to the floor. Pleats rule the roost next winter. Also this spring lightweight skirts is a must: long lines that sweep the floor for full-on romance. Take inspiration from Chloe‘s ballet-inspired skirts, Lanvin‘s long flowing and leg-flashers skirts and J. Mendel.

The transparency is a must this spring summer 2011. Some transparencies as symbols of femininity are everywhere, both in the day or night looks: tunics, pantsuits or evening gowns. And the lace comes back to seduce with sophisticated textures that creates a bold transparency. Lace in all of its possible variants - the kinds that appear on vintage tablecloths, curtains and lingerie. The classic symbol of pure femininity, encompassing the transparency of desire and the sleek aura of modernity. Entire or as a details that break up, the transparency dominate. It's time to seduce with your lingerie.

Mohair blend jumpers. Love the fuzzy jumper trend. Serenity and nostalgia. Autum leaves. Some hot chocolate. Airiness. Similar to soft refuges. Warm and soft. Voluminous and intricate like a nest. As dense as a cloud. Sea-sponge effect. Delicacy and lightness. Just wrap me up.

The color palette for winter 2010 2011 has been refined and made of beautiful nuances that lie in one line and combines. Nearly weightless pink and gray colors run smoothly on soft liver in chocolate brown and olive green. A revival of color comes from exotic blue and red lipstick.
I've already written about this calibrated gray winter (see here) – heavy and dark – this winter is replaced by an ultra-chic light gray tint in the corridors or ‘oyster gray “is mentioned.
The color palette in this post here is inspired by natural landscapes, using neutral shades such as camel, cognac, beige and light beige. These shades are very easy to combine and are particularly well with black or denim color (see here). Try the combination of camel beige or gray hues. Very elegant! The warm cognac color is one of the hottest colors for winter. Comforting, deep, reassuring, heartwarming.

"We are cronicly insicure. We are afraid to do wrong and to dare. We hate certainties but the only chance we take is our too high heels' one. We look for refuge, and not just from the cold weather, in our grey coat that, you know, is perfect in every look. We hide our will of being noticed behind a natural lip-gloss. We are devoted to black, we adore blue and we are conquered by the sober beige. But rarely we go beyond those colours. And leave in a drawer our shyness and take out a maxi coral pull, maybe in one of those days when even the hot black coffee has no effect. Be gained by the loudy elegance of a scarlet coat, when the sky is grey and the rain is persistent. Fall into tempation of a pair of purple sandals, to pass from the bed to the street. Leave our doubts behind and wear a carmine dress. Coloure our day with a little detail that talks about us, our energy, our femininity and our will to show up. Rarely we can lapse into red power.. and, in my opinion, this is so wrong!!".
I'm just loving the red explosion showing up this fall. It's one of those trends that nobody talked much about when Fall fashions hit the runway last February, but has been cropping up organically on people's streetstyles. I'm having a sudden red gown and bag craving! Maybe some feathers too.

Grey is the new black this fall winter. A classic flattering color, noble for the office, elegant in the evening. Grey always works.
Grey is ideal for certain weather. A perfect option for rainy fall and muddy winter. This color trend is essential for the fashion season.

This fall winter 2010/2011 Red is starring. It's always been a colour favourite of mine - of course after poudre!-. Fashion history, with Valentino and Christian Dior, has taught us that this colour is THE colour.

"J'Adore le Rouge. C'est la couleur da la vie."

So I've been doing a little research. That we will all need to keep us warm and fashion forward this fall. From Paris to New York, camel is dans l’air this fall 2011. A real love story....Make sure you get a fawn-colored coat or borrow a camel coat from your boyfriend!
