pierre balmain, the more affordable second line for balmain, will hit stores in december 2012 with prices ranging from $172 for tees to $1,291 for evening wear. the line will include men's & women's. balmain chairman & ceo alain hivelin explains the dichotomy of the new line saying designer olivier rousteing will make the "quintessentially parisian" main collection "even more sophisticated & couture-like, without, of course, renouncing that 'rock' aesthetic that has been so important for us these last few years."
